M. Ruth Hobby, 86, of Blandinsville, died Sunday, May 9, 2004, at the home of her daughter, Karen Moore of Blandinsville, where she had resided for the past year.
She was born June 23, 1917, near Blandinsville, the daughter of Charles and Florence Ashby Fisher. On Feb. 26, 1935, she married Henry C. Hobby in Carthage. He died on May 2, 2001.
She is survived by two daughters, Barbara (Rex) Stewart of LaHarpe and Karen (Lewis) Moore of Blandinsville; one son, Roger (Carol) Hobby of
Blandinsville; 12 grandchildren; one step-granddaugher; 21 great-grandchildren; 4 step-great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; and one step-great-great-grandson.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 12, at Banks and Beals Funeral Home in LaHarpe with Pastor Greg Pratt officiating. Burial will be in the Glade City Cemetery in Blandinsville.
A memorial has been established for the Blandinsville Rescue Squad or the McDonough District Hospital Hospice. |
