    Text Raymond Fisher

    Blandinsville--Raymond C. "Buck" Fisher, 82, of Macomb the past year, formerly of Blandinsville, died at 5 p.m. yesterday at McDonough District Hospital, Macomb. He had been ill a year and in the hospital seven weeks.

    A resident here all his life, he was born Jan. 6, 1899, a son of Charles and Florence E. Ashby Fisher. He married Fronie E. Britton Sept. 15, 1923, in Macomb. She died Aug. 22, 1965. Three brothers and one sister also preceded him.

    He was employed at Vorhees Hardware store, which later became Taylor-Wilson Hardware store, 42 years. He also worked for Blandinsville Water Works three years, retiring in 1965.

    He was a member of First Baptist Church and a former member of both the Blandinsville I. O. O. F Lodge and Bowling Association.

    Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Wilbur (Lucille) Terry of Dallas City; two sons, Everett Reon of Macomb, with whom he made his home the past year; Dean of Blandinsville; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

    Also surviving are five sisters, Mrs. Henry (Ruth) Hobby and Mrs. Norman (Madeline) Fenton, both of Blandinsville, Mrs. Reva George of Macomb, Mrs. Jessie Ruberts of Washington and Mrs. Dorothy Cox of Vermont.

    Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church, with Virgil Kelly officiating. Burial will be at Blade City Cemetery.

    Visitation will be after 10 a.m. tomorrow at Clugston Chapel. The family will meet friends from 7 to 8 p.m.

    Memorials may be made to either Northwestern Junior or Senior High School Boosters' clubs.
