- William T. Britton "was born in Henderson County, Kentucky, September 2, 1905, to John Thomas and Mary Jane Gunter Britton. He grew up and received his education here (Blandinsville IL). He was married to Margaret Bridges in Monmouth, October 15, |1932. She survives with their two daughters, Judy (Mrs. Roderick Mason) and Sue (Mrs. Larry Waggoner), both of Colchester. Also surviving are his mother, two brothers, Clyde and Wendell and a sister, Mrs. Fronie Fisher, all of Blandinsville, with several nieces and nephews. One brother and one sister are deceased. A familiar figure around town, he was custodian of the school building for three years but had to quit on account of his health. He was a carpenter before that. He was a member of the Baptist Church and a past member of the O; O. F."
