      Flames, which enveloped him from head to feet when it is believed he poured oil in a heating stove to make it burn, burned Julius Smith so severely early this morning at his home at Kingston Mines that he died at 7:30 o'clock at St. Francis hospital.

      Mr. Smith... died at 7:30 o'clock yesterday morning at the St. Francis hospital in Peoria after suffering severe burns at his home in Kingston Mines, a suburb of Peoria about two o'clock yesterday morning. The coroner's jury returned a verdict yesterday afternoon that death was caused by third degree burns over the entire body accidentally suffered when a can of kerosene which he was using to start a fire in a stove exploded.
