Orville Fisher and Ella Tyson elope to Burlington, IA to marry 26 Oct 1897. Orville's sister Ollive accompanies them. Ella tells her father, the chief of police for Canton IL!, only after they return two days later. Ellen plans to lives with her father for two months until Orville can prepare a house to live in. Wedding is apparently so secret it doesn't get reported in the local news until two weeks later.
