Harmon McKeown, 63, Blandinsville, Dies
Harmon Charles McKeown, 63, of Blandinsville, died today in Sante Fe Hospital in Topeka, Kan. He had been a patient at the hospital since Saturday.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Blandinsville Baptist Church. Burial will be at Stronghurst Cemetery. The Rev. Joseph Ferreira will conduct the services.
Mr. McKeown was born Feb. 4, 1898, a son of Arthur and Ellen McKeown. He married Madelyn Fisher in Quincy on June 14, 1946. He was a veteran of World War I and World War II, a member of the United Presbyterian Church, and a member of the Modern Woodsmen Lodge. He was employed by Sante Fe Railroad for 22 years and retired two years ago.
He is survived by his wife; a son, Charles of Blandinsville; three step-children, Mrs. Norma Jean Renshaw of Burnside, Donald McKeown of LaHarpe, and Billy McKeown, Fountain Green; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Fisher of Hobbs, N.M., and Mrs. Ella Randholm of Cleveland, Ohio; and ten grandchildren.
Five brothers are deceased.
The family will meet friends at the Radden Funeral Home in Blandinsville from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday. |
